When promises fail
And plans all die
And tomorrows slip from view
Just take my hand
And we’ll walk together
Creating our world anew
When pain is great
And fear presses in
And paths seem all astrew
Just take my hand
And hold it tight
And together we’ll start anew.
As long a you’re there
Anguish I’ll bear
And smile through all the pain
Just take my hand
And I’ll be unafraid
Into that world with you.
This is one of my favorite love poems!

Beautiful poem 🙂 And if you’re a writer at heart the fire will always burn bright within you even if you actively decide you’re not going to write anymore! Somehow, someway that fire will re-ignite your desire to write whether you like it or not! lol 😉 I’m happy for you that you now have time to create again…a fundamental need in the heart and spirit of a writer!

“Take my hand” conveys so much: joined strength, prayer, new beginnings, memories shared, and love. Thank you for conveying in a single word “Together” what building a life through diversity and promise means.
