About Marie

My name is Marie and I am pleased to meet you!

This is a rewrite of the page that was already here so it is still about me. I try to tell you about who I am and what I am  and how I got to be this person called ‘Marie.’ Some of my story has already been told in earlier pages and you are welcome to go back and begin ‘at the beginning ‘ if you are interested . I will, over time, give you not only my history, but a few quotes that seem to define me. (Do you ever find quotations that cause you to think “hey, that sounds just like me?) When I do I copy them down real quick so I will remember to always be “me”.

There will be other things I hope you will enjoy. I’m an avid collector of beautiful pictures. This is in part because beautiful things inspire me. Did you read my definition of inspiration on today’s front page? Do you ever wonder about inspiration? Some things just don’t click, do they? But beauty is special and so much of it comes straight from God .

I love trying to capture pictures in my poems that are drawn for us by God. I hope you can see and feel some of them because I don’t want my poetry just to be words. Achieving that goal is important to me, so let me hear your comments.

There will be occasional changes here on this page. Be sure to take a peek to keep up with me. Some of you don’t know about my latest book that is out now, available from Amazon and B&N, but the smaller stores will order for you. It is a Love Story and the title is To Those Who Would Love, A Metamorphosis.

I am redoing my blog in honor of an acceptance into The International Book Club, the RRBC. I am really excited about it and at this point am wondering if it will ever be finished.  More about this later!

  5. It has been a lovely tour with your direction and I think perhaps I missed seeing some of your writing. I especially like your front page with all of the greenery that looked to me like ‘Southern’ at least some of the plants, I’ve only been to Maine once in the fall…of course to see the trees turning and I give my full approval, it was spectacular. I look forward to being in your group. I’ve never had anyone to comment as I write and I am excited about it.Thanks for being my first visitor, you are welcome and I expect to learn a lot from you ladies.

  6. Now I know what I read while I was there. Your introduction was so very interesting. I actually made notes of some of what you have on your first page. I like it. Pardon my dopiness…to the point of forgetting what I am doing. Sorry. I have had a full day, interesting but busy, and then at the last few minutes I learned we were having 17 people for hamburgers. It was a beautiful, cool early fall day and we had our meal outside. It is already feeling ‘cold’ here when the sun goes down. I’ve predicted an early winter.
