ALTERED ART
FALL — 1998
Fall — 1998
Leaves turned golden, fallen to the ground
Rustle in friendly harmony, found one
With Mother earth and nature’s way
Partners in incessant change today
Sun-kissed blessings lull with practiced ease
Artfully concealing winter’s tease
And all too soon they whisk away the glow
Then blanket under cold white snow.

The Claim of Who I Am…
(That is…..Artistically)
More than anything I can think of is the desire to be friends with those of you who choose to be followers of this blog. So, for that reason I felt it is only fair to let you have a window into who I am and as I have often said “I’m Marie, pleased to meet you.” This particular paragraph is to let you into my heart regarding what I would like to do with this post. That part includes you if you are interested.
This particular writing is to let you know of that interest so you can be watching to help come to a decision. In time I will probably tell you some of how I came to be this person I am. That takes a lot of thinking so I’ll save that until later. Don’t want to scare you away before we get started.
For most of my life I have said I am a writer, and I am, but I always wanted to be able to draw and paint as well. I tried off and on but nothing ever looked even half-way like what I was trying to draw. So, for years I focused on writing and I’m not sorry, but the older I became the more the dream whispered in my ear, “don’t forget me”. So I began letting the thought live again within me. I bought paper to sketch on and then I began to draw little things like a cat sitting still, a vase, or my particular interest in trees and rocks.
Someone introduced me to Altered Art and I was hooked very quickly. I can’t tell you all about it tonight, but if you are interested let me know and I’ll tell you what I know.
This is a very simple and interesting way to entertain yourself at times, when and if you become interested. If you don’t please come to see what I am doing. I will explain at another time, but I am enjoying (most) of what I am participating in at this point of time and that kind of joy does a lot for happiness.
Enjoy what you are doing, Marie and you will flourish in that joy.
